When I was with Zach he’d always say the only thing better than a sandwich is a sandwich someone else made you. I’d have to agree. Besides East Side Deli being open convenient hours, with lots of fresh sustainable options for both the carni/omnivore, and (although its debated online) friendly service its also CHEAP! Stumptown Vegans put out their own Cheap Eats Guide in response to the yearly one put out in either the Mercury or the WW.

I always get Field Roast, on Dave’s Killer Bread, Sauerkraut, Lettuce, sometimes Mushrooms, pickles, carrots, extra Mustard, Pepperoncinis… Toasted… Pretty much a spicy vegan Reuben.
